Assistant State Attorney Positions

Our office is dedicated to seek justice with integrity and diligence. To that end, we seek to employ hard-working attorneys with good character, a strong sense of ethics and fairness, excellent legal skills, a commitment to public service, and a desire to seek justice. Our attorneys are diverse in background and experience. We have a comprehensive training program for new attorneys as well as in-house continuing legal education throughout your career.

We employ 108 attorneys in our five counties, making us one of the largest litigation firms in the area. Our offices are located in Ocala, Tavares, Inverness, Brooksville and Bushnell. We regularly hire entry-level attorneys as trial attorneys in our county court or intake divisions. We begin interviewing law students in their 3L year of law school. Depending on the applicant’s qualifications and our hiring needs, we will from time to time offer employment before a new law school graduate takes and passes the Florida Bar. In those situations, we have a preference for attorneys who are post-graduate CLI-eligible.

While most of our attorneys are hired entry-level, we will also consider applications from experienced attorneys.
